The D.R.F.C. Booster Club is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting all facets of the Downingtown Rugby Football Club. It exists solely to support the rugby programs for the high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools of the Downingtown Area School District.
The Booster Club is comprised of parents, players, coaches, family members, and friends of the club, without whose participation much of the week-to-week operations of the club would not be possible.
Specific areas where the Booster Club assists the D.R.F.C. coaches include:
- the purchase and maintenance of uniforms and supplemental equipment
- field maintenance
- officiating fees
- fundraising events
- international tour coordination
- marketing and public relations
- player scholarships
General meetings of the Booster Club are held monthly–usually at Downingtown Middle School, although sometimes in the homes of various Booster Club members. All are welcome to attend meetings and to assist in fostering a positive environment to enhance the success of the club.
